Emily Ferguson is an avid sport lover, namely AFL and netball. She has nearly four years’ experience as a journalist at the Barrier Truth Newspaper in Broken Hill, the last two as the sports reporter. Known for her dedication to local sport coverage, with popular opinion pieces on the AFL, women in sport and her unique, Bachelorette Draft.

Emily’s passion sees her family playfully refer to her favourite players as “AFL boyfriends”.

She moved to Melbourne in early 2022 to follow her dream. She’s currently studying a Diploma of Screen and Media – Sports Media and is the Communications Intern with the Box Hill Hawks VFL Club.
